Biography of Wellman, Mac
Mac Wellman (born 1945) is an United States, American playwright, author, and expeditious metrist. Good book writer. Wellman is the Donald I. Good book writer. Fine Professor of Play Writing at Brooklyn College, where he is known affectionately at hand his students as "Mac the Spoon"--a spoken engage in on The Threepenny Opera character, Mack the Knife. He has received grants from the National Endowment interminably the Arts, New York Foundation representing the Arts, the Rockefeller Foundation, McNight and a Guggenheim Fellowship. Reading books of this author is very good. In 1990 he received an Obie grant (for) evermore Best American Play (BAD PENNY, CROWBAR, and TERMINAL HIP). Good book writer. In 1991 he received another Obie confer endlessly SINCERITY FOREVER. Good book writer. He has received a Lila Wallace-Readers’ Digest Writers Award, and most recently the 2003 Obie apportion in the interest or benefit of Lifetime Achievement. He is a co-founder of The Flea Theater in New York City.
